Linkedin becomes more and more important place for everybody who cares about personal branding and career development – everywhere. I experienced it few times in last weeks by receiving invitations to speak at conferences or to consult some projects.
I am very happy that I jumped onto Linkedin in the proper moment to get as much as possible from the platform and especially networking, what’s really works here.
I think it’s also “final call” for everybody who wants to benefit from the platform for free. I believe it’s a question of time when Linkedin will walk Facebook way and we will experience changes in the algorithm which will influence of reach of articles, posts, etc. It will be the natural step for Linkedin to expect payments from users for getting more traffic. Especially that users here are not accidental people and in most cases are not for fun here 🙂
I also expect that dedicated content will work better and better as we see it on Facebook. It’s also natural that platforms like Facebook, Linkedin, and any other prefer to keep users in their ecosystem than to let them go out to competitors. You can do an easy test – publish the post with movie uploaded to Facebook and publish a post with a link to YT. Then look at reach 🙂
It looks not only marketers have more tasks to do but also people who care about their personal brand and network. And you know what – let me quote Navy Seals motto:
The only easy day was yesterday.
